WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
This is a one day course, Our Emergency First Aid with Forestry courses are very tailored to people that work in the outdoors. Forestry Workers First aid content assumes you are working far away from help and we concentrate on large trauma injuries with catastrophic bleeding. The Efaw+F course content focuses on Hypothermia, Trauma, Tourniquets and Haemostatic clothing agents.it is suitable for all who wish to learn Basic First Aid and Forestry and those who need a formal qualification, but the risk assessment shows that the full First Aid at Work Forestry certificate is not necessary. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 for Forestry workers. Ring for availability.
WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE?
The course content will be tailored to the needs of the workplace(s) involved but will always cover:
- First Aid Legislation
- Assessing incidents
- Dealing with unconscious casualties and Resuscitation
- Choking
- Asthma
- Bleeding
- Shock
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Aftercare
- First Aid kits
- AED awareness
ASSESSMENT
There is no external assessment. Candidates will need to demonstrate competency to the course tutor during the course.
NUMBERS
The maximum number of candidates allowed is 12, It is difficult to run an effective course with less than 5 participants. If run at your premises; smaller numbers can be placed onto one of our open courses.
CERTIFICATION
The certificate is valid for 3 years.
