Who is this course suitable for?

This PASMA Course programme is designed for managers, supervisors, and operatives who may need to construct and/or inspect Mobile Access Towers (MATs). Training methods include a mix of theoretical and practical studies, such as syndicate exercises in the erection, inspection, and dismantling of MAT’s. To pass the PASMA course delegates will need to successfully complete a post-course assessment paper.

What is the objective of the course?

Those who need to erect, dismantle and inspect mobile access
towers safely.

Since the assembly and use of mobile towers can be physically
demanding, users should be physically fit, in good health, and should, generally,
not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure,
epilepsy, fear of heights/vertigo, giddiness/difficulty with balance,
impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness.

Course Content:

The PASMA Towers for Users Course content includes:

  •  How to safely construct and deconstruct MATs
  •  How to correctly carry out a full safety inspection of towers
  • Gaining a greater awareness of the hazards associated with towers
  • Assembling, altering, and dismantling towers incorporating current best practices for fall protection
  • The Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for working safely with MATs
  • The legislation, guidance, and working at height-regulations associated with the use of MATs
  • Product Standards EN 1004
  • PASMA Code of Practice
  • Current best practice for fall protection
  • Completion of Tower Inspection Records

A course content and notes booklet and a current PASMA Code of Practice booklet will be issued to all delegates who attend the course

PPE Kit Requirements

Our
PASMA Training Courses require each candidate to provide the following PPE:

  • Safety Helmet with Chin Strap
  • Gloves
  • Hi-Vis Vest/Jacket
  • Safety Footwear
  • Warm/Wet weather clothing as required
